Introduction

Hey there! I'm Binesh and I've been selected to work under Matrix.org as a GSoC contributor for this year's summer 2022.
I'll be working on the project "3rd party authorized room membership". It delegates a user's membership for a room based on their past interactions with other third party services.

I plan to add support for the following two services:

1. GitHub
2. Patreon

My mentors for this project are @Cadair and @Half-Shot.

I'll be posting about the updates and progress related to the project every week in this blog. I will try to cover the technical details, the challenges I might face during this period and all of my Open Source contributions to Matrix in general.
